Card Sketch Tuesday

Hi Everyone! Today we could either make a card, or follow a sketch. I choose to follow the sketch! Here is my take on today's challenge. :) As always to see other projects made by the design team, head on over to Erica's blog to check them out!

Items Used:
How to:
  • I cut the blue paper to be just slightly smaller than the face of the card base.
  • I cut the layered patterned papers out at 2 inches by 2.5 and increased the length by 1/2 an inch for each layer. When I attached them all together, I only applied adhesive along the top edge of each piece, so that you can flip them up if you wanted.
  • I cut "Baby Boy" from the B is for Boy cartridge at 1 inch and ran it through my sticker maker before applying it to the card base.
  • To finish off my card, I added the sentiment stamp to the inside. :)

Scrapbook Friday - Fun in the Sun

Hi everyone! Today is Scrapbook Friday with My Cricut Craft Room and I have made a fun layout to share with you today!

Items used:
  • Cherry Limeade Cricut Cartridge (this cartridge is becoming my favorite for cutting out letters!)
  • Bo Bunny Back to backs Barefoot Dot paper (2 sheets)
  • Orange cardstock
  • ATG and xyron adhesives
  • American crafts elements ribbon
How To:
  • I cut the letters out at 2 inches and ran then through my xyron sticker maker
  • I cut the ribbon to be just slightly longer than my paper (probably about 13 inches) and also ran that through my sticker maker.
  • I cut my pictures down to 4 x 4 and 5 x 4 and attached them to the patterned paper with my ATG adhesive
  • Once the pictures were in place, I added the ribbon to the bottom of each page
  • The final step was to add the lettering to the pages.
Hope you all enjoyed my scrapbook page today! I had a lot of fun putting it together after out fun weekend seeing family and spending time outside at the park and in the SUN!

Ink it Pink! Contest

Hi Everyone! Over on the Pink By Design blog they are hosting a Ink it Pink! contest. This weeks challenge is to use words as a background. :) I had a lot of fun picking out what stamps I was going to use for the background, and this is what I came up with!

I used stamps from Pink By Design Enjoy the Journey to make the background, and Breast Wishes for the tag and inside of the card.

If you want to make your own card to link up, here is the link to the challenge. :)

This weeks challenge ends tonight, but don't worry another one will start tomorrow!

I'm back! Imagination Monday!

Hello everyone! I am so happy to be back to crafting and blogging. I had to take a step away from my blog due to being very sick during the first part of my pregnancy. I am now about 1/2 done, and feeling so much better. My husband and I are so excited to be adding another addition to our family. Now enough about that...lets get to the project! As always, if you would like to see other projects using the Imagine, head on over to My Cricut Craft room to check out what the other wonderful design team members had made.

To make this card, I first printed the "happy birthday" print from the Yummy Imagine cartridge. Since I was making this card it bulk for an upcoming craft show that I am going to be attending, I printed it on a 12 x 12 page. I was able to cut down the 12 x 12 page and get 6 card backgrounds measuring 5 2/8 x 3 6/8 each. I attached them to the front of a A2 card base using my ATG.

Next I cut our the "You take the Cake" tag from Imagine More Cards at 3.5 inches. This is attached to the card base using pop-dots to give it some pop and dimension. :)

At this time, I have left the inside blank. I haven't decided yet if I am going to add a birthday sentiment to the inside or leave it blank.

Hope you enjoyed my card today! Once again I am so happy to be back to crafting again after a few rough months.
